Actually it was a lot more of that which NDP Leader Jack Layton promised today when he released the New Democratic Party platform to a crowd of supporters in the heart of Toronto.
The platform, called "Giving Your Family A Break: Practical First Steps," had plenty to keep strategists and pundits busy for days.
An NDP government would spend $8.9 billion in the first year and deliver a balanced federal budget by 2014-15.
